Family Is Our Legacy

At the heart of Anzac Nomads for Rowena and me is our family.

We are not simply building a travel lifestyle, a website, or a YouTube channel. We are building a legacy — one shaped by faith, love, relationships, and shared experiences. Our family is one of the greatest gifts God has entrusted to us, and we want the rest of our lives to reflect that.

Whether we are in Perth, travelling across Australia, parked beside the ocean, staying at a farmstay, or sitting around a campfire somewhere new, our commitment to family does not change. Love will always make a way. We know we will miss them, even though they are our biggest cheerleaders, encouraging us to go "after our dreams."

Distance may change our location, but it does not weaken our connection.

Through phone calls, messages, Zoom meetings, video chats, social media, our website, and YouTube videos, we can stay connected with those we love. Technology gives us the ability to share our journey in real time, encourage one another, celebrate milestones, and remain present in each other’s lives, even when we are many kilometres apart.

With Starlink, we are able to stay connected from the road. This means our family, friends, church community, and travelling connections can remain part of our journey wherever coverage allows. We see this as more than convenience. We see it as a tool for relationships, encouragement, ministry, storytelling, and legacy.

Our website and YouTube channel will become places where we share our experiences, our lessons, our victories, our challenges, and the people we meet along the way. We want our family to be able to look back and see not only where we travelled, but why we travelled.

For us, legacy is not just what we leave behind. Legacy is what we live out every day. It is found in conversations, prayers, encouragement, shared meals, laughter, forgiveness, memories, and the courage to keep stepping forward together.
